Blog Fourteen: Make up
Hey, ya'll!
It’s 3:00 in the morning, and I’m running on fumes, but here I am—writing this blog because, it’s another piece of make-up work. Lately, it feels like I have a lot of catching-up to do. I keep pushing tasks I planned to do on one day to another because something else is place on higher priority, and now I’m staring at a mountain of “make-up work” that I still need to get done.
This week has been a blur of “I’ll get to it later” moments. Editing videos? On the list. Studying? Barely touched. Writing even a tiny passage for リュシとミニ子? Nope. And yes, even this blog falls into the make-up pile.
So, now I’m renegotiating my priorities for the week and trying to focus on what really needs to get done before Sunday:
I finally posted the new coloring pages (yay!)—granted, two of them were already finished.
I still need to edit and post the short story (it's so close).
And then there’s リュシとミニ子 and some marketing work, which I always seem to push back.
On top of that, I’ve been rethinking my ambitious comic plans. Originally, I wanted to tackle three different comics: one every two months, another every four, and the third one would have been published twice a year. It sounded doable, except life keeps throwing curveballs, and I’m realizing my schedule (and sanity) are not up to the task. So, I’m scaling back. Focusing on just one comic, and trying to post it two or three times a year. As both an ebook, and webtoon.
And speaking of rethinking, I’ve been toying with the idea of writing poetry next month instead of jumping straight into comic mode. I think the universe might be hinting at it—considering the number of random videos about poetry I had come across lately.
Anyway, I’ve rambled on long enough. Time to rest up (finally). Till next time, じゃね!💖
