Blog Eleven: Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! 🎃

Okay, so technically it's a couple of hours past Halloween as I write this, but hey—it’s the thought that counts, right? I was actually supposed to post this yesterday, but I got so wrapped up in finishing my short illustrated story, Infestation, that everything else just kind of... fell off. I was determined to get it done, and I did it! I put it out there for everyone to see before the month ended, but now I'm thinking a bit about how much time these projects really take. On one hand, it’s doable, but on the other—wow, it’s a lot! I worked so hard to get it out on time, so I’m glad it’s done, but I can’t help wishing I felt a bit prouder of the final product. When I share my work, I want it to feel solid and to have a spark of pride in it.

On a lighter note, last week was my birthday, and I feel so grateful for the celebration with my family! It's been a slower week for me, giving myself a little break, but next week I'll definitely get back into the groove.
