Blog Two: Progress and Regress?

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since my last update. I really want to do this more regularly and build a schedule, but I keep forgetting. Setting an alarm might help until it becomes a habit.

Recently, a family friend has been staying with us, so I haven't been working on my usual projects: my two graphic novels and narrative illustration book. I did make some progress on my Japanese online novel, but it feels like it's been two weeks since I last worked on it (and it has been, just checked). I need to get back to that soon.

On a brighter note, I've finished a new chapter on that light novel I've been working on for years. While reworking the plot lines, I realized where I was stuck and why I was having trouble with the pacing. There are specific events I want to happen in the story and particular actions I want the main characters to take, but the timing isn't aligning. It's back to the drawing board for now, but I'm satisfied with the two chapters I've written and don't want to change them too much. Instead, I'll try to blend everything together more seamlessly.

In other news, I'm excited to announce that I'm working on a narrative horror coloring book! Initially, I wanted to create a Japanese trivia book, but I got stuck on the aesthetics and puzzles. One thing led to another, and I was inspired to make a coloring book. It wasn't going to be narrative at first, but that idea came later. In the midst of working on that, I was inspired to create a worldbuilding sketch journal. I tend to cycle through sketchbooks, spreading my worldbuilding thoughts across multiple books, which makes it hard to keep track of everything. Hopefully, this sketchbook will help me stay more organized with my thoughts and sketches.

Well, that's all for now. Sorry for the lengthy update, and thank you for reading!

Best regards,
